Normal 8- or 9-inch round cake pans will not fit inside an Instant Pot. You will need a 6-inch or 7-inch round cake pan.
If you have a handled trivet, place it in the bottom of a 6-quart or larger Instant Pot with the handles up so that you can lift the cake out later. If your trivet does not have handles, place it in the bottom and proceed to the next step.
