Importing photos from your camera
Picasa is a free photo management program provided by Google. It allows you to organise and manage photos stored on your hard drive. Selecting photos to load

Editing photos

Applying filters and effects
Picasa is a free image editor and browser by Google that helps you "organize, edit and upload photos". It offers a variety of basic edits and effects to improve photos or create something unique.
To apply filters and effects, go to the Edit View and click on the Effects tab. Here, you will find a series of twelve preset filters such as sharpening, film grain, black and white, Orton-ish, and Vignette. For example, the Sharpen tool allows you to drag the slider to the right to sharpen the image or to the left to soften it.
