Using custom brushes
To use custom brushes in WorldPainter, you first need to install them. To do this, open the program and click on the "Add custom brushes" button at the top of the page. Importing and merging
WorldPainter is a map generator, not an editor. It is primarily used for generating new maps that can be edited with other tools. However, it does have limited support for making changes to existing maps, using the Import and Merge operations.
Importing an existing Minecraft map will create a new WorldPainter world based on the landscape (terrain height and type, and biome information) of the existing map. To import an existing map, use Ctrl+I or File -> Import -> Existing Minecraft map.
When importing an existing map, any chunks containing man-made blocks will be marked read-only and will not be merged during the merge process. This is to protect man-made structures from the merge process, which can be destructive and mangle structures, especially if you change the slope of the terrain. If you want to make changes to these chunks, you can remove the read-only layer by selecting the Read-only button and right-clicking to remove it.
Merging will apply any changes you make back to the existing map. To merge, use Ctrl+R or File -> Merge world. Make sure to always make backups before merging, as it can cause a lot of errors.
You can use the Import/Merge functions to smooth the seams of your map. First, export your world and load it in Minecraft.
