Removing the microSD card
To view your Wyze Cam Pan recordings, you can either bring your camera back to an area covered by the Wi-Fi network it was set up on and use the Playback feature in the Wyze app, or remove the microSD card and view the raw video files on a computer.
Power off your Wyze Cam Pan and locate the microSD card slot. The slot is typically located on the side or bottom of the camera. Gently press the card to release it from the slot. If your camera has a locking mechanism, make sure to unlock it before removing the card. Once removed, inspect the card for any damage and clean it gently with a soft cloth if necessary. Insert the microSD card into your computer's card reader or adapter. Ensure the card is inserted correctly and securely. If your computer doesn't have a built-in card reader, you may need to purchase an external card reader.
Once inserted, open the computer's file explorer and locate the microSD card drive. You should be able to view the video files in MP4 format. The files may be organised into folders based on the date or recording mode. You can play the videos using a media player of your choice. It is recommended to use VLC Media Player, as it supports a wide range of video formats and offers various playback options.
After viewing the recordings, safely eject the microSD card from your computer. Refer to your operating system's instructions for properly ejecting external storage devices. Reinsert the microSD card into your Wyze Cam Pan, ensuring it is securely locked in place. Power on the camera, and it will resume continuous recording to the microSD card.
It is important to handle the microSD card with care and avoid touching the gold contacts. Additionally, ensure the card is always inserted correctly and fully seated in the camera or computer to avoid damage or data loss.

Night vision mode
The Wyze Cam Pan v3 is equipped with a starlight sensor that allows the camera to see colour in extremely low-light conditions, allowing you to see full colour at night.
To turn on the colour night vision, open the Wyze app and tap on your Wyze Cam Pan v3. Tap on the Settings gear, then Advanced Settings. Below Night Vision Mode, tap Off. The camera will then switch between colour and black and white depending on the level of light. If you would like to always view in black and white, you can turn the Night Vision Mode back on.
The camera has two settings: Dusk and Dark. If you enable the Dusk setting, the camera will switch from colour to black and white and turn on IR LED lights when the environment has low light. If you enable the Dark setting, the camera will only switch when there is extremely low light. Near-IR light is 940 nm, which is invisible to the human eye, while Far-IR light is 850 nm, which is partially visible. Far-IR is recommended for outdoor use as it helps the camera illuminate larger areas.
You can also set up your camera to record videos during specific times. To do this, tap Home, then the + plus sign. On the Add menu, tap Automation, then Schedule. Enter a name for the schedule, then tap the + plus sign next to Add Action. Tap the box next to Turn on motion detection, then Save. Set the start and end times for your schedule, then tap Save.
