What You'll Learn
Complete the Champions of the Thunder King weekly quest
To get extra rep with the Shado-Pan Assault, you can complete the Champions of the Thunder King weekly quest.
To complete this quest, you will need to get your hands on some of the Shan'ze Ritual Stones, which can be found scattered across the Isle of Thunder. With these stones, you can summon powerful opponents out of hiding and defeat them. These include the Spirit of Warlord Teng, Electromancer Ju'le, and Windweaver Akil'amon, among others.
The quest suggests having a group of five players to tackle these powerful foes. By completing this quest, you will gain 300 reputation with the Shado-Pan Assault.
In addition to this weekly quest, you can also gain extra rep by killing bosses in ToT, with each boss granting 300 rep. You can also obtain Shado-Pan Assault Insignias, which grant 100 rep each, from the gold chests at the end of the Treasure Trove solo scenario or from the chest obtained after finishing Isle of Thunder dailies.

Kill Zandalari Warscouts and Warbringers
Killing Zandalari Warscouts and Warbringers is a great way to gain Shado-Pan rep tokens. Warscouts are soloable, have a quick respawn time, and have a 100% drop chance for one of four rep tokens. Each token gives 1000 rep to their respective faction. If you have the guild perk, you can get 1200 rep, and if you have the guild perk and the grand commendation for the rep in question, you can get 2400 rep.
Zandalari Warbringers are a little more difficult to solo, with 21.5 million health. However, each Warbringer has 1-2 Zandalari Warscouts patrolling the area, which you can kill for their rep tokens.
Zandalari Warscouts can be found in the following locations:
- Townlong Steppes
- The Jade Forest
- Kun-Lai Summit
- Dread Wastes
- Krasarang Wilds
To find the Zandalari Warbringers, you can use an addon called NPCscan to alert you when they spawn near you. You can also use a TomTom waypoint macro to mark their locations.

Do the quests in Townlong
To gain extra rep with the Shado-Pan faction in World of Warcraft, one method is to complete the quests in Townlong Steppes. Here's a guide to help you maximise your reputation gains in this zone:
First, ensure you have the necessary prerequisites to access Townlong Steppes. The zone can be reached on foot via Kun-Lai Summit; there is a gate in the western part of Kun-Lai Summit near Winter's Blossom. Alternatively, if you have unlocked flying in Pandaria, you can simply fly over the wall from the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.
Once you're in Townlong Steppes, start by locating the quest givers and accepting their quests. The quests in this zone will lead you through a chain of storylines and objectives. It is important to note that you might need to reach a certain level of reputation with the Golden Lotus faction in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms to unlock all the quests in Townlong Steppes. If you encounter a quest called "Temple of the White Tiger" in Kun-Lai, make sure to complete it to get back on track with your questing in Townlong.
As you progress through the quests, keep an eye out for any bugs or issues that might impede your progress. There have been reports of a bug in the "Devastation Below" quest, where the named enemy at the bottom of the cliff is permanently dead and doesn't respawn. If you encounter this, try turning war mode off and on, or abandon and retake the quest. Completing a few scenarios or dungeons before returning to the quest area might also help.
Townlong Steppes is a vast zone with many quests to offer. Make sure to explore all areas and speak to all NPCs to uncover as many quests as possible. Keep in mind that some quests might have specific requirements or prerequisites, so pay attention to your quest log and the objectives given.
Completing the quests in Townlong Steppes will grant you reputation with the Shado-Pan faction, helping you work towards that extra rep you're seeking. Keep in mind that the amount of reputation gained from quests varies, so don't be discouraged if some quests give less rep than others. Stay focused, and the rewards will follow!

From there, you will travel up to Winter's Blossom, overlooking the Ox Gate, where you will need to fend off a Yaungol attack. Ban Bearheart will then take you to the Shado-Pan Monastery in his hot air balloon.

Use the Trading Post loophole
The Trading Post loophole is a method to gain extra rep with the Shado-Pan faction in World of Warcraft. This method involves taking advantage of a bonus to rep gain while in Draenor, which appears to apply to all panda factions and not just Draenor factions. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to use this loophole:
Step 1: Farm for Rep Tokens
Start by farming for rep tokens. You can do this by killing Zandalari Warscouts and Warbringers, who have a chance to drop rep tokens. These tokens can be used to gain reputation with various factions, including the Shado-Pan. The Warbringers drop tokens that grant 1000 rep each, and the Warscouts drop tokens worth 1000 rep, or 2000 with the Commendation on any toon. You can also kill War-God Dokan, a boss who spawns on a boat on the Isle of Giants. He drops multiple types of rep tokens, and you can tag him along with other players as he can be tapped by multiple people.
Step 2: Heart to Your Garrison
Once you have a stack of rep tokens, head back to your garrison in Draenor. Having a Level 3 Trading Post in your garrison will grant you a bonus to rep gain while you are in Draenor. This bonus appears to apply to all panda factions and not just Draenor factions, which is the loophole we are exploiting.
Step 3: Use the Rep Tokens with the Trading Post Bonus
With the Trading Post bonus active, use the rep tokens you farmed earlier. This will grant you increased reputation with the Shado-Pan faction. By combining the rep tokens with the Trading Post bonus, you can quickly increase your reputation and reach exalted status with the Shado-Pan.
Step 4: Repeat as Needed
Repeat the process of farming rep tokens and using them at your garrison with the Trading Post bonus active. This will allow you to gain large amounts of reputation with the Shado-Pan faction, helping you reach exalted status faster.
It's important to note that this loophole may have been patched, but it's worth trying as players have reported success with this method. Using this Trading Post loophole can significantly speed up the process of gaining reputation with the Shado-Pan faction in World of Warcraft.
