Where To Find The Gold Pan In Poptropica Wild West

To get the gold pan in Poptropica's Wild West Island, you'll first need to get an old saddle. To do this, you can help the cowgirl in Rock Ridge find her lost calf. Once you've done that, she'll give you an old saddle as a reward. Then, go to the trading post in Dusty Gulch and trade the old saddle for a gold pan.

Trade your old saddle for a gold pan

After you've helped the cowgirl in Rock Ridge, she'll give you an Old Saddle. But you can collect more cattle for her if you want to – it's optional, but if you lasso five more cows and bring them back to the ranch, she'll reward you with the Rattlesnake Wrangler costume.

Now, head back to Dusty Gulch and go into the Trade and Barter building, just left of the ranch where you got the horse. Go to the left side of the top floor and use the old saddle. Trade it for the Gold Pan.

Pan for gold in the river

Now, go to the location of the gold to find a gold nugget. When you get here, you’ll use the gold pan to try and find gold nuggets in the river. All you need to do is to pick a spot that is sparkling and click on it to put your pan down. Then move your mouse cursor slowly back and forth many times to shake out the rocks and dirt. I

Trade your gold pan for an oil can

Once you have your gold nugget, you can trade your gold pan for an oil can. To do this, go back to the Trade and Barter building in Dusty Gulch. Trade the gold pan for the oil can, then head back to Diamond Plains.

Oil the gears in the clock tower

Once you have the oil can, go to Diamond Plains and enter the clock tower. Inside, you’ll need to drop some red platforms (click the silver knobs) and push some boxes in order to reach the top. Watch out for the pale brown wood, which falls if you step on it.

At the top, you will see the back of the clock, with all its gears and cogs. Only it’s gonna look really dirty and rusty. Click on it, and now you’ll need to oil just the eight gears that connect from either side of the two important big gears. Use the oil on them until they let off a shine, being careful to add just enough so you don’t run out of oil. If you’re having trouble oiling a specific gear, click and hold a bit to the right of the gear you want to oil.

Now click on the button in the lower-right to turn the gears, and the clock will be fixed.

Use the oil can to fix the clock

To fix the clock, you need to oil the gears. Climb up to the top of the clock tower and enter the clock tower. Drop down to the platform below and jump over the darker-coloured platform. Jump up and remember to avoid the darker-coloured mini-platforms connected to the sturdy ones as they will fall down after a while of staying on them. Slide off to the right and to the platform below yours and click on the rope to untie it. This will drop a large metal beam, forming a bridge. Run across it and jump up to the right. Hop over the loose platform and drop down to the right. Keep dropping until you reach the ground. This time, you need to jump on the weak platform to drop. Push the crate all the way to the right and jump on top of it. Climb the ladder. Jump off to the left and land on the narrow platform hanging there. From there, jump up to the left, hop over the weak platform, and click the rope to untie it. Another beam will land, near a group of gears. Now jump off to the left, hop over the loose platform, and jump left onto the beam. Use the oil can here. Spray oil on the gears by clicking on them. Spray on each of the gears in between the first big one and the second big one until they shine. Then turn the gears. If you do it right, they will start spinning. Drop off the platform and to the one where you started. Make sure to slip through under the beam, otherwise, you will start walking on it. Exit the clock tower and talk to the builder. The clock is working, and the train is finally pulling into the station!
