Now that you've added the Wyze Sense sensor to your Wyze Cam Pan, it's time to mount the sensor and test it out.
First, decide on the area where you want to mount the sensor. The Wyze Sense Contact Sensor has two parts: a larger side that houses the technology and a smaller part with a magnetic switch. You can place the smaller part in any orientation, as long as it's within 2 mm of the switch on the larger side. The Wyze Motion Sensor detects heat from objects moving up to 26 feet away and has a horizontal detection angle of 120 degrees. It's designed to detect at a slight downward angle, so it's best to have the Wyze logo facing upright when mounting the sensor, ideally at a height of around 6 feet.
Once you've determined the ideal location for your sensor, it's time to test it out. Use the Wyze app to ensure that the sensor works at that distance from the bridge. Remember, the adhesive on the back of the sensor is permanent, so make sure you're happy with the sensor's placement before mounting it.
